Justin Ruffing
I started CrossFit in 2010 because I was bored with traditional workouts. I started doing the workouts on CrossFit.com and I was immediately hooked. I loved that the workouts were simple and effective but also never the same.
CrossFit has greatly improved my fitness but it has also given me much more. I now have a career where I get to help people in my community live happier and healthier lives.
I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife, kids, and weinnie dogs.
My entire life I have had great coaches to help me get where I wanted to go and reach my goals. Now I get to pass that forward and help other people do the same.
I would tell anyone reading this to get in here and meet with a coach. They will be your guide to improving your fitness, health, and happiness.
Jared Ruffing

As I age, CrossFit has helped me maintain a healthy lifestyle and has given me the tools to pass it on to others.
Outside the gym I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy watching movies and TV series.
I coach because I enjoy teaching people how to improve their overall health, not just in the gym.
I want people to know the hardest part of getting started is walking through the door. Once you are in you will be welcomed into the community in ways you could never have anticipated.
Mason Correll
I competed in wrestling for 12 years and loved the individual competition and discipline that the sport brought. I fell in love with CrossFit after coming for the first time in 2021 because I had finally rediscovered the same drive that I was missing after my wrestling career ended.
CrossFit has really opened my eyes to what a healthy lifestyle truly is. It has made me stronger physically, mentally, and socially. It has driven me to be the best version of myself for not only myself but for my family, and my community.
Outside the gym, I love spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, canoeing, biking, and camping with my family. I am also passionate about volunteering in my church’s youth ministry.
I started coaching to help others become the healthiest people they can be for themselves and for those around them.
If I could say one thing to someone reading this I would say, “Jump in!” I was intimidated by the misconceptions of CrossFit, but I can truly say that you will never find the same kind of encouragement and community as you will find through CrossFit. CrossFit is for everybody!
Chris Paye
I started CrossFit in 2013. I had been competitive in rugby in college and had been doing a lot of traditional lifting. A friend invited me out to a CrossFit gym. I got my butt whooped in a workout and was hooked after that!! Loved the variety of the sport and the community of the gym!
Crossfit has made me a better athlete. Its given me opportunities to travel, compete, and meet new people. It is also how I met my wife! And CrossFit has given me knowledge that I can give back to others trying to improve in fitness and their daily lives.
Outside of the gym I enjoy time with my wife and pups! I also enjoy disc golfing, helping out with the church, and spending time with friends and family.
I coach because I want to help others achieve their goals. And help them reach and attain things in themselves they didn’t think were possible.
I would tell anyone its the best choice you can make if you’re looking to improve your fitness or lifestyle.
Rich Galuszka
I came across CrossFit.com while in college and tried it on my own. Growing up in athletics I loved the competitive aspect of doing exercise but competing with someone right next to me.
CrossFit is hands down the best strength and conditioning program anyone can do – the mix between functional movements, increasing capacity, and always having something to work on always gives me a goal while improving both my physical and mental health.
Outside the gym I enjoy spending time with my partner and kids, coaching youth sports, and golfing.
I coach because I want to help people achieve their goals and become better versions of themselves.
What would I tell someone that is thinking about trying CrossFit Tiffin?
Anybody can do it! Whether you are college-aged, an older adult, or anywhere in between, CrossFit Tiffin offers something for everyone!
Heather Paye
Previously I ran marathons and my best friend invited me to come try CrossFit. It’s all history from there! Between the community and environment I was in love.
CrossFit has made me a better person inside and outside of the gym. It has helped me realize I can do hard things and got me into competing as a Masters athlete.
Outside the gym I enjoy hanging out with my husband and dogs, anything outside, swimming, snowboarding, reading and I love my career as a consultant pharmacist.
I coach to be able to help others reach their goals and feel good about themselves!
